World Post Day

This year "World Post Day" falls on the 9th October 2018.

Why don't we invite our customers to help us send a collective message to the Minsters of communications, Senator Fifield, or the Shadow Minister Michelle Rowland, whichever party supports your political ideals, or send one to both for good measure.

Print out the flyer and share the idea with your customers throughout September to get this message to Canberra for World Post Day.

We could send post cards from our suburbs/towns/regions with the simple message 'this card was sent from an Australian owned Licensed Post Office - employing locals and supporting local businesses and we are worried about our future viability'.

The salutation for Michele Rowland could read : 'Senator Fifield doesn't seem to care, do you?' and to Senator Fifield:  'Do you care about the future viability of the LPO Network Senator Fifeld?'

You never know who may be inspired to take up the cause. Imagine if a politician started waving the Post Cards from Australia's LPOs in the air at parliamentary question time, asking why we had to send them a Post Card to raise our issues again.

Senator Fifield's Parliament House address is:

PO Box 6100
Parliament House
Canberra ACT 2600

Michelle Rowland's Parliament House address is:

PO Box 6022
House of Representatives
Parliament House
Canberra ACT 2600

If we collect POST Cards for Canberra all through September and post them on the 1st of October, 6 working days should see most of the POST CARDS delivered on the 9th October, the day gazetted by the UN as World Post Day.

Does LPOG have any approved press info we can use? I have some sympathetic media (paper and radio) that I would like to reach out to in the coming weeks to raise the profile of our campaign in the local area.
