A Political Year
An election in September is great news for Licensees. There is hundreds of politicians looking for votes and now is the time to use our combined force to move our mountain.
Over the last 18 months Senator Eric Abetz (Leader of the Opposition in the Australian
Senate and part of the Tasmanian Liberal Senate Team) has been looking very closely at the plight of the Licensed Post Office. He has raised many of our issues at the Senate Estimates hearings, and has had some measure of success assisting individual Licensees who were up against the wall.
Many local members have also been interested in local Licensees who have contacted them with issues. However an equal number of local politicians will not return phone calls and fob of letters requesting assistance dealing with our issues.
Do you have a pro active Local Member? Or a helpful Senator that will assist us to correct the balance. Let us know who these people are!
They are the people that are looking out for the 2800 small business owners that provide the postal services to 80% of the nation. Lets make them well known in the year of the election.
